Founder & CEO
Maryam Esfarjani is a visionary technical executive with more than three decades of experience transforming complex data into actionable intelligence across the public and private sectors. She is widely recognized for leading enterprise-scale data, analytics, and AI initiatives that drive mission outcomes, improve operational performance, and deliver measurable results.
Throughout her career, Maryam has guided organizations through data-driven transformation. She has established enterprise data governance, integrated advanced analytics and AI into mission-critical operations, and overseen large-scale system deployments. Her leadership has directly shaped proactive and predictive decision-making capabilities in domains where trust, safety, and reliability are paramount.
Before founding Insights, Maryam held senior leadership roles at MITRE and Booz Allen Hamilton, where she led large technical organizations supporting aviation safety, veterans’ services, defense, healthcare, and national emergency response. Known for her collaborative leadership style, she builds high-performing teams and trusted partnerships while navigating complexity with clarity and purpose.
Dr. Michelle L. Harper
Chief Safety & Systems Officer
Dr. Michelle L. Harper is a nationally recognized aviation safety and systems engineering expert with more than 20 years of experience in aviation safety analytics, risk assessment, and data-driven decision-making. She has led major safety intelligence initiatives for the FAA, NASA, NTSB, and the U.S. Department of Defense, contributing to industry-wide advancements in safety oversight, certification, and regulatory decision-making.
Dr. Harper has developed and implemented integrated safety and data frameworks spanning the full aircraft lifecycle, aligning engineering, certification, operational, and safety data across traditionally siloed FAA business functions. She designs enterprise-level data architecture models that enable authoritative, traceable, and reusable safety data. These frameworks support consistent risk assessment, regulatory decision-making, and continuous safety improvement.
Her leadership includes spearheading FAA enterprise safety intelligence platforms, advancing risk-based oversight through AI-enabled analytics, and expanding the Aviation Safety Information and Analysis System (ASIAS) to strengthen data sharing and cross-agency collaboration. Dr. Harper brings a systems-level perspective, bridging research, regulation, and operations to deliver measurable, enterprise-scale impact.
